The long coast of Alicante can be best discovered by car, with which you can stop to relax and enjoy of a good sunset views.
The city lies along the Mediterranean in a flat arranged by a series of hills and elevations. Mount Benacantil, 169 m, on which sits the Castillo de Santa Bárbara, dominates the urban facade and is the most characteristic image of the city. On the waterfront should be noted that the beaches are, from north to south: San Juan, La Almadraba, S’Albufera, El Postiguet, Agua Amarga, The Saladar, and Tabarca Island. Among the beaches of La Albufereta and San Juan is the Cabo de las Huertas, with numerous caves: Calabarda, Cantalares, Jews, La Palmera.
